Nattokinase - The Excitement Grows

Friday, September 03, 2010

natto1Some people are getting excited about Nattokinase. Why? One reason is that to get the same benefits that the Japanese have enjoyed so long, you do not have to endure eating Natto, the fermented soybeans. Nottokinase now comes in capsules, making it so much easier to consume.

What makes Natto one of the best nutrients for cardiovascular health is the enzyme found in it. As we age, the production of this same enzyme in our body starts to decrease. This can lead to blood clots in arteries and veins, heart attacks and strokes. Because Nattokinase has this same enzyme, it reacts just the same in the system as the one produced naturally by the body. Besides all this, Nattokinse can also lower blood pressure. This is double blessing, since lowering blood pressure also helps to lessen the risk of blood clots. This enzyme works to keep your blood vessels open. No wonder people are excited about Nattokinase!

What is Nattokinase?

Thursday, September 02, 2010

nattoNattokinase is an enzyme that was discovered in the 17th century. A Japanese warrior found boiled soybeans that had fermented. Eventually this led to the discovery of Natto. Natto is a popular food in most of Japan. It is usually eaten with rice. It is very salty and strong smelling. The low occurrence of cardiovascular diseases in Japan coincides with the use of Natto and has been attributed to it.

Over time, Natto become the source of several products. It is put through processes that produce the supplement, Nattokinase. These supplements are readily available in today’s market in the form of capsules and tablets. These supplements have the same health benefits as Natto, without the smell.

Nattokinase is very beneficial for a few reasons. In a nutshell, it can help dissolve abnormal blood clots that lead to strokes and heart attacks. It has also been used to lower blood pressure.

Retaining Information in the Digital Age

Wednesday, September 01, 2010

memoryIn our digital age it’s becoming increasingly necessary for people to take steps to improve memory. Just like any other skill, you can need to hone your memory through practice to keep it at its peak. Many of today’s technologies eliminate the need for us to remember dates, locations, numbers and other crucial information. This is obviously an enormous convenience, but it also means that we aren’t required to recall information as often.

It’s important to make sure you’re receiving the proper nutrition and takes steps each day to keep your memory sharp. Try memorizing the phone numbers of some of your closest relations and dialing their number instead of looking them up in your contact list. Challenge yourself to learn a new language or try memorizing a favorite poem. You can even play games that help to preserve your memory.

Hyaluronic Acid to the Rescue

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

hylastinHyaluronic acid has become known as an anti-aging supplement. It is also used for joint pains and conditions. HA work so well because it is so similar to the natural lubricants and fluids found in the body.

It is readily available in products from health supplements to creams. The supplements come in liquid form or in capsules. It is now even possible to get injections in the knee for joint pain relief or in the face as a skin filler. The injections, of course, are much more costly and require a professional for the treatment. However you use it, hyaluronic acid can help improve joint pains and reduce wrinkles.

Take Care of Your Skin

Monday, August 30, 2010

smooth-skin11The body uses an ingredient called hyaluronic acid to produce collagen. This ingredient is a thick fluid which provides the necessary lubrication needed by the joints, heart valves, eyes and skin. In young people there is enough hyaluronic acid found naturally in the body. As a person ages, the acid produced by the body decreases. This can begin as early as the age of 25!

Hyaluronic acid has been developed into supplements and is also used in skin care products. It is being used more and more as an anti-aging treatment for skin. HA has the ability to produce collagen and retain water. This helps keep the skin moisturized and rejuvenated. This is important for keeping the skin looking youthful. As a beauty product HA is more effective than creams using collagen, since the body can more readily use it because it is a natural substance in the body.

A Fountain of Youth?

Friday, August 27, 2010

agingFor centuries people have tried to turn back the clock and avoid aging. In some Japanese villages, they have had some success as they have had many live to be in the 100s. The ingredient they used and the one the scientists have discover is hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronic acid is different from most other products on the market. The main reason for this is that hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the skin and joints. So when you use it, the skin recognizes the ingredient and makes use of it. Also, it is found in the body’s lubricant, in spinal fluid and is necessary in healing wounds. This all implies that it plays a large part in keeping our skin smooth and preventing wrinkles and other skin conditions. Since our body produces less hyaluronic acid as we age, we can prevent some of the associated aging results by adding this acid to our system. So for sure to some extent, hyaluronic acid is considered to be a modern fountain of youth!

Help for Painful Joints

Thursday, August 26, 2010

painful-jointsHyaluronic acid has long been known for its anti-aging and skin care properties. The application of HA has recently been applied to treating painful joint problems such as osteoarthritis and gout. This is because hyaluronic acid is found naturally in the joints of the body, where it cushions and lubricates them.

Using HA gives the body the substance it naturally uses, making it more effective than some other treatments. A lack of hyaluronic acid in the body is often found when there are connective tissue disorders such arthritis, gout and TMJ. It can be useful to help the inflammation in joints and helps to prevent the wearing of cartilage in the joints. Hyaluronic acid can be taken as an oral supplement, injected into the effected joint or as a cream.

Fight the Signs of Aging

Wednesday, August 25, 2010

smooth-skin1We all know we cannot stop aging. We still get concerned when we notice those wrinkles appearing! Many of us go to great lengths to cover up the signs of aging. We can try to delay the aging effects with something called hyaluronic acid.

This a component found naturally in our joints, cartilage and bones. It provides the lubrication that is needed by the body. In parts of the body such as the skin, it holds in the moisture and prevents drying and thus the wrinkles. As we age, the natural occurrence of hyaluronic acid decreases. Although HA is an ingredient in expensive skin products, hyaluronic acid can be taken as a supplement and quite inexpensively.
